Pune: PMPML to Offer 50% Bus Fare Concession to Senior Citizens from November 1
Pune, 30th October 2026: Senior citizens aged 60 and above will receive a 50% concession on PMPML bus ticket fares from November 1, 2026, according to a press note issued by Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited.
The concession will apply across all PMPML bus routes. The transport body operates services in Pune, Pimpri-Chinchwad and areas under the jurisdiction of the Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority.
PMPML said its board of directors had approved the scheme, which is intended to make public transport more affordable and accessible for older passengers.
The new ticket concession is in addition to the existing senior citizen daily pass, available for ₹35 after a 50% discount on the ₹70 daily pass fare.
To claim the concession, passengers must carry proof of age: an Aadhaar card, PAN card or PMPML senior citizen identity card. An Aadhaar card used as proof must display the passenger’s complete date of birth, the transport body said.
PMPML has appealed to eligible senior citizens to make use of the concession.
