Pune: 33-Year-Old Woman, Six-Year-Old Son Die After Fall From 18th Floor in Wakad

Wakad, 30th October 2026: A 33-year-old woman and her six-year-old son died after falling from the 18th floor of a residential building in Wakad, Pimpri-Chinchwad, on Friday evening.

The deceased have been identified as Ekta Bhangad (33) and her son, Madhav Bhangad (6). The incident occurred at Signature Park residential complex at around 6 pm, according to Senior Police Inspector Vitthal Salunkhe of Wakad Police Station.

Police personnel reached the residential complex after receiving information about the incident and initiated an investigation.

Preliminary information indicates that Ekta had been residing at the complex with her husband, Manoj Bhangad, and their son for several years. Her husband reportedly works at a company in Yerawada.

Police are investigating the circumstances that led to the incident. However, the exact reason behind the deaths has not yet been established, Inspector Salunkhe said.

Further investigation is underway.
