Ketan Agarwal Murder Case: First Hearing Scheduled in Pune’s Wadgaon Maval Court on Saturday
Pimpri Chinchwad, 30th October 2026: The first hearing in the high-profile Ketan Agarwal murder case, which sparked widespread attention across Maharashtra, is scheduled to take place on Saturday (October 31) afternoon at the Sessions Court in Wadgaon Maval. All three accused are expected to be produced before the court.
Senior advocate Ujjwal Nikam is likely to represent the prosecution as the Special Public Prosecutor in the sensitive case.
According to the police investigation, the prime accused, Siya Goyal (20), was allegedly in a relationship with Chetan Chaudhary (22). Investigators suspect that she conspired with Chaudhary to kill Ketan as she did not wish to marry him.
The incident took place on June 18, 2026. On the pretext of attending a friend’s birthday celebration, Ketan was allegedly called to Lohagad Fort in the Lonavala area. While he was taking photographs at the location, he was allegedly pushed into a valley. The accused reportedly attempted to portray the incident as an accident.
During the investigation, police examined technical and digital evidence. Investigators reportedly found that the walking pattern of a suspect captured during the probe matched that of Chetan Chaudhary. Based on the digital evidence and other findings, Lonavala Rural Police arrested Siya Goyal, Chetan Chaudhary and his friend Ritesh Hange.
The police completed the investigation within three months and filed a chargesheet comprising 5,053 pages before the court in September 2026.
The first hearing on Saturday is expected to mark the beginning of court proceedings in the case, which has attracted considerable public attention across the state.
