Pune: PMPML Introduces 11 New Feeder Bus Routes for Pune Metro Line 3, Adds 22 Bus Stops
Pune, 4th November 2026: The Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) has introduced 11 new feeder bus routes and extended one existing route to improve connectivity to Pune Metro stations, particularly along the newly inaugurated Metro Line 3 corridor connecting Maan, Hinjawadi and Shivajinagar.
The new feeder bus services have commenced from Wednesday, November 4, with the objective of providing last-mile connectivity to commuters travelling between residential areas, IT parks and metro stations. Along with the 12 routes, PMPML has announced 22 new bus stops to make metro accessibility more convenient for passengers.
The feeder bus services have been introduced following the inauguration of Pune Metro Line 3 on November 3, which connects Maan, Hinjawadi and Shivajinagar.
According to PMPML, the newly introduced services will operate with a total of 25 scheduled buses, undertaking 620 trips.
Among the important routes, Metro Shuttle No. 31 will operate between Pimpri Metro Station and Wakad Chowk Metro Station. Metro Shuttle No. 41 will connect Maan MIDC Circle Phase 2 Metro Station with Nilsoft Company and Infosys Phase 3.
Other routes will connect different residential and commercial locations with metro stations. These include Mahalunge Gaon to TCS Maan Metro Station, TCS Maan Metro Station to Podar International School in Bhoirwadi, Indira University in Tathawade to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Chowk Metro Station, and Koyte Vasti in Punawale to Padmabhushan Chowk Metro Station.
Additional services will connect Lavale Phata, Blue Ridge Society, Girme Park, Embassy TechZone Parking and Joyvilla Society with various metro stations.
One existing route, Metro Shuttle No. 50, operating between MITCON Metro Station in Balewadi and Chandegaon, has also been extended.
22 New Bus Stops Announced
To strengthen connectivity with Metro Line 3, PMPML has also announced 22 new bus stops corresponding to metro stations along the corridor.
These include TCS/Maan, Maan MIDC Circle Phase 2, Maan Bus Depot, Hinjawadi Phase 2 Circle, Wipro Circle, Padmabhushan Chowk, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Chowk, Hinjawadi Phase 1 and Wakad Chowk.
The list also includes Sports Complex Mahalunge, MITCON Balewadi, R.K. Laxman Sai Chowk, Balewadi High Street, Balewadi Phata, Baner Gaon, Mahabaleshwar Hotel, Baner Phata-Aundh, Sakalnagar, Savitribai Phule Pune University, RBI Bank, Agriculture College and Shivajinagar Metro stations.
PMPML had previously introduced feeder bus services for metro stations across Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad in different phases. With the introduction of Metro Line 3, the transport undertaking has expanded its feeder network to facilitate easier access to metro services.
PMPML has appealed to commuters to make use of the newly introduced feeder bus services.
