‘Legacy of Love’ fashion show for grandmothers and grandchildren’sheld in Pune

Pune, February 17, 2019: ‘Legacy of Love’, a fashion show of gorgeous grandmother and their grandchildren was recently organized in the city. Ladies of age group 45 years to 86 years participated in the show. The fashion show is conducted by Poona Women’s Council, non-profit NGO. This beautiful concept of love is the brainchild of Pushpa Hegde, President, Poona Women’s Council.

The two past presidents, Zainab Poonawala and Mini Grant were the show stoppers of the show. Adding to the show Suman Kirloskar with her grand daughter graciously walked the ramp. Manda Shimpi, Suchita Shroff, Ratush Wadia, Rukshana Anklesaria, Chaitrali Satpute, other past presidents of Poona Women’s Council walked the ramp with their grand daughters. Kiran Pallod, Rani Sunder, Lata Shah, Ranjana Joshi, Prafulla Shetty, Sunita Shirke, Lata Pardesai, Menna Naik also made an impactful walk.

The two young conveners of the show Rakhi Shetty and Katyayani Balasubramanian walked the ramp with the dynamic President Pushpa Hegde. The show has been sponsored by Mrs. Sudnya Shroff and Jakatdar family in memory of her mother-in-law Meeta Jakatdar.

Valentine’s Day is not only about the love for a girl or a boy it is beyond them. Grand mothers indeed play a crucial role in their grand children’s life and there is no better day than Valentine’s Day to celebrate this bond said, Pushpa Hegde.

About Poona Women’s Council-
The Poona Women’s Council is a 94-year-old nonprofit NGO which works towards the up-liftment of underprivileged women and children of Pune. It is one of the oldest and most prestigious women’s organizations doing commendable work in Pune.
