L&T Construction Wins Orders Valued ₹ 2106 Crore

Mumbai, December 5, 2018: The construction arm of L&T has won orders worth ₹ 2106 Crore.

Water and Effluent Treatment Business:

The business has secured orders worth ₹ 1954 Crore.

A Design & Build order has been received from the Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority (AP CRDA) for investigation, design & construction of roads, bridges, storm water drains, water supply, sewerage, utility ducts for power & ICT, reuse waterline, avenue plantation and artificial water body compatible with trunk Infrastructure in layouts for Amaravati government complex in Amaravati Capital City, Andhra Pradesh.

This order will be jointly executed by Water Effluent Treatment Business and Transportation Infrastructure Business of L&T Construction.

The business has also secured a turnkey order from the Jharkhand Urban Infrastructure Development Company Limited (JUIDCO) for the execution of drinking water supply projects in the Hazaribagh and Ranchi districts of Jharkhand.

The aggregate scope includes design, engineering, supply and erection of raw water and clear water transmission & distribution pipelines; construction of intake structures; water treatment plants and water retaining structures including house service connections.

The projects involve automation including measurement of input & output water quantity and quality through suitable SCADA & other instrumentation works thus aiming to limit the water losses in the system at desired levels.

L&T GeoStructure:

The business has secured orders worth ₹ 152 Crore.

L&T GeoStructure business has secured an order from BHEL for the execution of pile caps, pedestals, piers, deep foundation-supported bridges and gallery, for a Coal Handling and Ash Handling Plant of the 2×660 MW STTP at Ennore, Chennai. The project is to be executed in stringent timelines of 20 months.
