Pune: Crime Branch Bust Burglars Gang From Khadki

Pune, 12th July 2021: The anti-extortion cell of the Pune police Crime Branch has arrested a gang involved in stealing a car and robbing a mobile shop. Five mobiles, three headphones, charging cable, Bluetooth speaker, wireless headphone were seized from them.

The arrested persons have been identified as David Samuel Khandagale (19) of Bopodi), Atik Abdul Aleem Sheikh (20) of Khadki Bazar, Ravi Ramchandra Koli (19) of Bopodi, Omkar Sudhakar Paramwar (22) of Old Bazar Khadki, Rishikesh Rakesh Tambe (19) of Pimple Gurav.

Acting on a tip-off received by policemen Vinod Salunke and Surendra Jagdale, a trap was laid at the Khadki Bazar bus stand. David and Atik were nabbed when they came to sell the mobile phones.

During interrogation, they confessed to breaking into a mobile shop in Aundh along with their accomplices and stealing the mobile phones and accessories. Earlier, they had stolen a car from Khadki.

The investigation team included Police Inspector Balaji Pandhare, PSI Shrikant Chavan and policemen Vinod Salunke, Shailesh Surve, Surendra Jagdale, Rahul Uttarkar, Sachin Ahiwale, Sangram Shingare and Amol Pilane.
