Market Yard, 14th January 2025: The festive demand for fruits during Bhogi and Makar Sankranti has led to a noticeable surge in the prices of certain fruits at the Market Yard. The price of Ber Fruit has risen by 20% due to its high demand, while lemons have seen a price increase of 10% to 15%. Meanwhile, the prices of other fruits have remained stable, with traders attributing this to a balanced demand and supply situation.
On Sunday (12th January), Market Yard saw significant arrivals of fruits, including 30 to 40 tons of old and new Sweet Lemon (Mosambi), 50 to 60 tons of Oranges, and 15 to 20 tons of Pomegranates.
