Pune’s Growth Accelerates as Bajaj Finserv Commits ₹5000 Crore Investment
Pune, 4th June 2023: Bajaj Finserv Ltd, a leading financial services company, has officially entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Maharashtra government to embark on a prestigious Rs 5000 crore project in Pune.
The MoU signing ceremony took place yesterday in the presence of prominent dignitaries, including Harshdeep Kamble, Industry Secretary of the Government of Maharashtra, and S Sreenivasan, Chief Financial Officer of Bajaj Finserv. Maharashtra’s Deputy Chief Minister, Devendra Fadnavis, and Sanjiv Bajaj, Chairman and Managing Director of Bajaj Finserv, were also present to witness this landmark occasion.
Expressing his enthusiasm, Devendra Fadnavis stated, “We warmly welcome Bajaj Finserv’s investment in the state of Maharashtra. We take pride in the longstanding association between the Bajaj group and Maharashtra, and assure full support for the successful execution of this project.”
Sanjiv Bajaj emphasized the company’s commitment to sustainable development and environmental responsibility, stating, “We firmly believe that growth should not come at the expense of the environment. The ambitious Bajaj Finserv Campus will be situated in Pune, serving as a catalyst for job creation with an estimated 40,000 employment opportunities. Additionally, it aims to further establish Pune as a prominent financial hub.
Commencement of the project is slated for 2023, with a strong focus on state-of-the-art connectivity and cutting-edge business facilities.
