Pune: After accepting the fitness challenge thrown at him by the Sports Minister Rajyavardhan Rathore, Virat Kohli then challenged another three persons, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, former captain MS Dhoni and wife Anushka Sharma, to follow his lead.

PM Modi then responded in affirmative tweet “Challenge accepted, Virat! I will be sharing my own #FitnessChallenge video soon.”

PM Modi had started the Fit India movement through his Mann Ki Baat programme. Since then he has been constantly promoting people to focus on fitness and thus encouraging their participation.

Sports Minister Rathore, the Olympic medallist, had shared a video of himself on social media doing pushups, and had asked people to take a video of their “fitness mantra” and share it in a bid to make people aware of the necessity of fitness. Along with Kohli, Rathore had also challenged actor Hrithik Roshan and badminton ace Saina Nehwal to join in.
Thus resulting in a positive acceptance from the country as well.

Meanwhile, Congress president Rahul Gandhi challenged PM Modi to reduce fuel prices. However, there is no response from the PM.
