A special Charpai Challenge’with ADI and Serendipity Arts Foundation at Creaticity
Pune : Pune’s new creative living campus invites you for witnessing aninnovative‘Charpai Challenge’to be held on 18th September 2018 from 10am to 2pm. The Challenge is being organized in association with Associate Designers of India (ADI) and Serendipity Arts Festival in the Cretaicity campus. The competition invites students and professionals to interpret the Charpai in a contemporary way.
As part of the competition,Mr. AyushKasliwal,a well-known furniture designer and curator of the project, will be holding demonstrations and interactive discussions accompanied by a workshop with Charpai weavers from Bikaner. The challenge is being organised in 4 other cities like Mumbai, Delhi, Ahmedabad, and Jaipur along with Pune. The aim of this initiative is to expose participants with the possibilities of weaving and also promote the simplicity of this traditional furniture in order to revive its existence.
