CBI ARRESTS A PRINCIPAL OF KENDRIYA VIDYALAYA AND SENIOR DIVISIONAL MATERIAL MANAGER OF RAILWAYS IN SEPARATE CASES OF BRIBERY

          The Central Bureau of Investigation has arrested a Principal, Kendriya Vidyalaya-1, Air Force Station, Chakeri, Kanpur (Uttar Pradesh) for demanding & accepting a bribe of Rs. 25,000/- from the complainant.

A case was registered u/s 7 of PC Act, 1988 against Principal, Kendriya Vidyalaya-1, Air Force Station, Chakeri, Kanpur on a complaint. The complainant alleged that the said Principal had demanded an illegal gratification of Rs.1,01,000/- for awarding canteen tender and clearing his pending bills. CBI laid a trap and caught him while demanding & accepting a bribe of Rs.25,000/- from the complainant as part payment. Searches are being conducted at the residential and office premises of the accused.

         The arrested accused will be produced before the Competent Court at Lucknow.

       In another case, CBI has arrested a Senior Divisional Material Manager, South East Central Railway, Nagpur (Maharashtra) for demanding & accepting a bribe of Rs. 20,000/- from the complainant.

        A case was registered u/s. 7 of PC Act, 1988 against Senior Divisional Material Manager, South East Central Railway, Nagpur for demanding a bribe of Rs. 1,07,000/- from a Railway Supplier. CBI caught the accused red handed while demanding & accepting part payment of Rs. 20,000/- as bribe in his office from the complainant. Searches at the office and residence of accused at Nagpur were conducted.

        Further investigation is continuing.
