Infosys Successfully Concludes the Second Edition of #HackWithInfy India 2019

Pune – August 20, 2019: Infosys successfully concluded the grand finale of the second edition of #HackWithInfy India 2019 in Pune on Monday, August 19. #HackWithInfy, Infosys’ nationwide Hackathon was open to all engineering students graduating in 2020 across disciplines of B.E./B.Tech/M.E./M.Tech from institutes in India.

 

The objective of #HackWithInfy is to provide students an enriching experience and inculcate the culture of rapid problem-solving and innovative thinking. The second season of #HackwithInfy received overwhelming response with over 1,18,500 registrations received from students across the country. The competition was divided into three rounds; the first two rounds were single-participant online challenges which required students to solve three problems with varying levels of complexities within three hours.

 

The top 109 students from round two went on to participate in the grand finale. Finalists were divided into teams of five members each and assigned a mentor, who guided them in making their design and implementation choices for the problem statement they worked on. At the grand finale, 18 teams participated in a 24-hour hackathon over August 18 – 19, 2019, at the Infosys Pune Development Center (DC).

 

The teams that qualified for the grand finale were judged by a judging panel. The winners of the #HackWithInfy contest were felicitated at the Grand Finale ceremony, where Mr. Binod Hampapur, Executive Vice President and Global Head – Talent and Technology Operations and Quality, Infosys Limited was the Chief Guest. The members of the winning team were –

The winning team of the hackathon received prize money of INR 2,00,000, the first runner-up won INR 1,00,000 and the second runner-up received INR 50,000.

 

The #HackWithInfy program also offered pre-placement interviews for Power Programmer, Systems Engineer Specialist, and Systems Engineer roles at Infosys to over 3,000 top participants.
