NatyaSangeet’ Competition for Punekars

Pune, July 4th, 2016: ‘Bharat Gayan Samaj’ a city based institute devoted to Indian Classical Music has been relentlessly enriching people with the richness of Indian Music since last 105 years. With an aim to nurture Indian Classical Music especially NatyaSangeet and inculcate the same in the today’s younger generation, the institute will be organising a special ‘NatyaSangeet Competition’ for all the music lovers in the city. Scheduled on July 9th and 10th, at Bharat Gayan Samaj located on Bajirao Road, this competition will be open for all the singers for the age group of 15 and 35.

Titled as ‘Balgandharva NatyaSangeet Spardha’ the institute has been organising this competition every year since 1968. After a break of 5 years, the institute is once again organising this revamped competition as ‘NatyaSangeet Spardha’.

Any singer in the age group of 15 to 35 can participate in this competition. However professional singers are not allowed to participate in it. All the participants need to prepare 3 Natya Geetas and the judges would ask the participant to present any 1 Natyageet out of the 3 during this competition. The provision of Harmonium and Tabla will be made by Bhaarat Gayan Samaj for the participants.

The prize distribution ceremony of this competition will be held on July 15th at Bharat Gayan Samaj on the occasion of 49th Death Anniversary of Balgandharva – the greatest singer and actor that Marathi Theatre has ever seen. The chief guest for this ceremony will be Nirmalatai Gogate – a renowned vocalist and actress in the filed of NatyaSangeet.

Prior registration is mandatory and the registration forms are available for the interested candidates at various locations in the city such as Bharat Gayan Samaj – Bajirao Road, Navadikar Musicals – Kothrud, Agraj Food Products – Karve Nagar.
