Platinum category to Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University) College of Engineering, Pune in the AICTE-CII survey 2018

Pune : Bharati Vidyapeeth College of Engineering  awarded  platinum category institute in the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) – Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) survey 2018.
Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University) College of Engineering (BVDU,COE), Pune has been awarded as a platinum category institute in the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) – Confederation of Indian Industry(CII) survey 2018.
This award is on the basis of industry linkage of technical institutes.
AICTE-CII laid down seven parameters designed to give insights into the extent to which institutes have been able to meet the dynamic demands of industry-responsive education Institutes’ capabilities and resources to produce talent in order to meet market requirements.
These included involvement of industry in governance like having industry members on BoG or advisory council, involvement of industry in curriculum input via means like guest lectures or visiting faculty from industry, industry visits, internships, industry faculty interface wherein involvement of faculty in give and take of training to from industry was expected, industry contribution in infrastructure, research or consultation or any other services carried out provided to the industry, project & skill development activities carried out in collaboration with industries and most importantly placements with regards to specialisation job profile, number of companies and students, incorporated startups.
Total 1992 technical institutions across the country and 174 institutions in the West Zone had had participated in this survey. Out of these 1992 institutions only 145 and only 39 out of 174 in the west region have been awarded with the platinum category. The performance of the 174 institutions in the western region institutes were equally divided between Gold and silver at 39 % each while only 22 % institutes were in Platinum category.
