United Nations World Youth Skills Day 2019 Celebrated at Abeda Inamdar Senior College

On the occasion of the United Nations – UNESCO-UNEVOC World Youth Skills day 2019 , The Department of Commerce , Abeda Inamdar Senior College , Pune inaugurated Skills development courses at the hands of Principal Dr Shaila Bootwala on 15th July 2019.
Matching with the theme of the day , “Learning to learn for life and work”, different online courses were launched under IIT Mumbai and SWAYAM schemes.
The Department of Commerce also launched the first International Course in Pune, “Certificate Course in Sustainable Development Goals 2030” in collaboration with Global Futures Network , a New York based organization working on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
Dr. M.G. Mulla gave a brief information about the importance of skills which are industry mapped , Asst.Prof Raisa Shaikh spoke about the World Youth Skills day and the SDGs , Asst.Prof Salahuddin Sajjan spoke about the online courses offered by different digital platforms. The Program was attended by around 100 students and the Staff of the department of Commerce .
