VETERANS DAY CELEBRATIONS ON 14 JANUARY 2018 AT BOMBAY ENGINEERING GROUP AND CENTRE, Khadki
Pune – Southern Command would be commemorating Armed Forces Veterans Day on 14 January 2018 as mark of respect and recognition of the services rendered by the veterans. The aim is to enhance the satisfaction levels related to various issues pertaining to pension and welfare amongst the retired / discharged pensioners and their Next of Kins.
The celebrations will start with Wreath laying ceremony where in a wreath will be laid by Lieutenant General DR Soni, VishistSeva Medal, ADC, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief Southern Commandin addition to a number of senior veterans. This will be followed by a Veterans Rally which will include establishing a Medical Camp with specialist doctors, establishing a Pension Cell with representatives of Record Office and Principal Controller of Defence Account(Pensions) Allahabad, Counters for registering veterans on Army Veterans Grievance Handling portal, Ex-servicemen Contributory Health Scheme(ECHS) stall, Job Placement Cell and counters of nationalised banks will also be established at the venue.
The event is also an effort towards recognising and felicitating the Disabled Veterans and Veer Naries of our Armed Forces.
