1078 New COVID Cases Reported In Pune District, 1377 Discharged Today
Pune, 20th July 2021: A total of 1078 new Coronavirus disease (COVID19) patients were reported in the Pune district today while 1377 people were discharged from hospitals. 10 people succumbed to the deadly virus in the last 24 hours.
According to District Health Officer (DHO) Dr. Bhagwan Pawar, there are 9246 active patients in the district and 5091 of them are admitted to hospitals while 4155 are in home isolation. Out of 1078 new cases, 276 were reported in Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), 227 in Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC), 76 in municipal councils (Nagar Parishad), 18 in cantonments, and 483 in rural areas.
Among the 10 deaths, six were in PMC, one was in Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC), one was in cantonments and three were in rural areas. Out of 1377 discharged patients, 310 were in PMC, 224 were in PCMC, 104 were in municipal councils, 15 were in cantonments, and 724 were in rural areas.
