11 year old boy becomes youngest to die of Coronavirus in Pune, Pregnant Woman Defeats COVID
Pune, May 6, 2020:In Pune district, 79 patients new patients of Coronavirus were reported yesterday while and four persons died. Among those died is an 11-year-old boy who is the youngest in Pune city to succumb to the deadly virus till now.
In Pune district, the total number of COVID19 patients has reached 2201. The death toll has risen to 125. In Pune city, 76 patients are in critical condition. 52 patients were discharged after treatment. Meanwhile, a 19-year-old pregnant woman from Lohianagar has won the battle against Corona. Between Monday and Tuesday, four people have died at Sassoon Hospital. A 31-year-old man from Yerwada had been suffering from symptoms since April 29. He was admitted to Sassoon on May 1. He had pneumonia with respiratory problems, as well as diabetes.
The 11-year-old boy from Datt Chowj in Warje Malwadi had shown symptoms late. His swab was collected and sent for testing on May 3, his report came positive. He had developed disseminated intravascular coagulopathy septic shock, pneumonia. He died in Sassoon hospital around 9.30 pm on May 5. He is the youngest victim among the dead so far.
A 63-year-old man from Bhavani Peth had been showing symptoms since April 18. He was admitted on April 24. His test report came positive. He died during treatment at 10.15 on Monday. He was also suffering from pneumonia, high blood pressure. A 66-year-old man from Padmavati was admitted to a private hospital on April 30 due to symptoms. He had respiratory problems, diabetes, kidney disease, pneumonia, and coronary heart disease. He died at around 5.30 am on Tuesday morning.
A 19-year-old 20-week-old woman from Lohianagar was admitted to Sassoon Hospital on April 14 due to corona infection. She was cured and discharged on Tuesday afternoon. Besides, a 26-year-old girl from Parvati Darshan was admitted on April 16. She was also discharged home. This woman gave birth to a baby. His test came negative.
The total number of patients in areas under Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) till 9 pm yesterday had reached 1943 out which 111 have died while 535 have been cured and discharged. In PCMC areas the COVID cases have reached 135 out of which 59 have been cured and discharged, while 5 have died. Out of 53 patients in Pune rural areas, 1 has died in Baramati.
