1101 New COVID Cases Reported In Pune District; 19,510 Vaccine Doses Administered
Pune, 3 August 2021: A total of 1101 new Coronavirus disease (COVID19) patients were reported in the Pune district today while 1027 people were discharged from hospitals. 12 people succumbed to the deadly virus in the last 24 hours. Today, a total of 19,510 doses of the COVID vaccine was administered to people in the district.
According to District Health Officer (DHO) Dr Bhagwan Pawar, there are 10,181 active patients in the district and 6614 of them are admitted to hospitals while 3567 are in home isolation. Out of 1101 new cases, 237 were reported in Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), 164 in Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC), 83 in municipal councils (Nagar Parishad), 5 in cantonments, and 612 in rural areas.
Among the 12 deaths, Seven were in PMC, two were in PCMC, one was in municipal councils (Nagar Parishad), and two were in rural areas. Out of 1027 discharged patients, 181 were in PMC, 183 were in PCMC, 77 were in municipal councils, 10 were in cantonments, and 576 were in rural areas.
