1108 New COVID Cases Reported In Pune District; 83,068 Vaccine Doses Administered
Pune, 27 August 2021: A total of 1108 new Coronavirus disease (COVID19) patients were reported in the Pune district today while 646 people were discharged from hospitals. 14 people succumbed to the deadly virus in the last 24 hours. Today, a total of 83,068 doses of the COVID vaccine was administered to people in the district.
According to District Health Officer (DHO) Dr Bhagwan Pawar, there are 8947 active patients in the district and 4403 of them are admitted to hospitals while 4544 are in home isolation. Out of 1108 new cases, 257 were reported in Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), 173 in Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC), 111 in municipal councils (Nagar Parishad), 11 in cantonments, and 556 in rural areas.
Among the 14 deaths, five were in PMC, one was in PCMC, one was in municipal councils (Nagar Parishad), and seven were in rural areas. Out of 646 discharged patients, 163 were in PMC, 116 were in PCMC, 24 were in municipal councils, 23 were in cantonments, and 320 were in rural areas.
