1125 New COVID Cases Reported In Pune District; 30,994 Vaccine Doses Administered
Pune, 28 July 2021: A total of 1125 new Coronavirus disease (COVID19) patients were reported in the Pune district today while 1170 people were discharged from hospitals. 16 people succumbed to the deadly virus in the last 24 hours. Today, a total of 30,994 doses of the COVID vaccine was administered to people in the district.
According to District Health Officer (DHO) Dr Bhagwan Pawar, there are 9265 active patients in the district and 5106 of them are admitted to hospitals while 4159 are in home isolation. Out of 1125 new cases, 294 were reported in Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), 221 in Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC), 94 in municipal councils (Nagar Parishad), 4 in cantonments, and 512 in rural areas.
Among the 16 deaths, seven were in PMC, two were in PCMC, and seven were in rural areas. Out of 1170 discharged patients, 347 were in PMC, 227 were in PCMC, 93 were in municipal councils, 22 were in cantonments, and 481 were in rural areas.
