1144 New COVID Cases Reported In Pune District; 46,755 Vaccine Doses Administered

Pune, 23 July 2021: A total of 1144 new Coronavirus disease (COVID19) patients were reported in the Pune district today while 824 people were discharged from hospitals. 12 people succumbed to the deadly virus in the last 24 hours. Today, a total of 46,755 doses of the COVID vaccine was administered to people in the district.

 

According to District Health Officer (DHO) Dr Bhagwan Pawar, there are 9918 active patients in the district and 5291 of them are admitted to hospitals while 4627 are in home isolation. Out of 1144 new cases, 250 were reported in Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), 151 in Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC), 93 in municipal councils (Nagar Parishad), 4 in cantonments and 646 in rural areas.

 

Among the 12 deaths, five were in PMC, three were in PCMC, and four were in rural areas. Out of 824 discharged patients, 222 were in PMC, 159 were in PCMC, 84 were in municipal councils, 4 were in cantonments, and 355 in rural areas.
