12 cases successfully resolved by Pune Bench of MahaRERA’s Conciliation Forum

Pune, April 10, 2018: CREDAI- Pune Metro, Association of Promoters and Developers takes immense pleasure to inform the success rate of MahaRERA’s Conciliation Forum established under the Real Estate Regulation and Development Act, 2016. Conciliation Forum- Pune Bench has successfully resolved all 12 cases amicably favouring the interest of home buyers.

Shrikant Paranjape, President, CREDAI- Pune Metro expressed, “This achievement is a positive step towards amicable and speedy resolution of disputes which we believe will continue to create confidence amongst home buyers.”

MahaRERA, authority has achieved its object to regulate the real estate sector and early resolution of disputes by forming Conciliation Forum for entire Maharashtra Region. The said forum is established under section 32(g) of RERA wherein disputes between home buyer/allottee/customer and Developers registered with MahaRERA have been resolved amicably. This resolution avoids legal and other expenses and engagement of lawyer and costs customers only Rs.1,000/- as opposed to lodging formal complaint with authorities. Further, it ensures immediate and early relief to customers by one on one interaction with the Conciliators.

As per rules laid down, the home buyer/allottee has to raise complaint on MahaREREA Official Website which is further sent to the registered Developer for confirmation as to proceed with Conciliation process. On receipt of confirmation, complainant pays Rs. 1000/- fee and then Conciliators are appointed by MahaRERA for resolution of dispute within 45 days.

The Conciliators appointed by MahaRERA for Pune City are Tanuja Rahane, Kalpita Ranade, Shirish Mulekar. Sanjeev Kulkarni, Mr. Keshav Barve from Mumbai Grahak Panchayat, Pune Division. While Rohit Gera, Anil Pharande, Manish Jain, Amar Manjrekar, I. P. Inamdar are appointed from CREDAI- Pune Metro.
