12 hours no entry in Tilak road road area for PM Modi’s rally, know about diversions

Pune, October 17,2019: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday (today) will address a mega rally at the SP college ground. About 50,000 people are expected at the venue on Tilak road.
Accordingly Pune city police traffic branch has put in place restriction and diversions in some parts for the city for the movement of convoy and rally of PM Modi.
According to police, the rally will start around 4 pm and hence restrictions will be in place from 12 noon till midnight.
The traffic coming from Jangli Maharaj Road will be diverted on Karve Road instead of Sambhaji Bridge.
Traffic from Dandekar Bridge to Alka Talkies Chowk will be stopped and the vehicles on this route will be diverted from Savarkar Chowk and Mitramandal Chowk.
Traffic from Swargate, Saras Bag to Tilak Road will be diverted from Puram Chowk to Bajirao Road. Traffic from Shahupul-Dattawadi-Janata Vasahat will be diverted via Sanas Statue.
The parking on Shastri Road and Tilak Road will be prohibited from 12 noon to midnight on Thursday. Police have urged citizens to use public transport to attend the rally because of the limited parking spaces in the area.
People going for the rally can park their vehicles along riverside road, Garware college ground, Sanas ground, New English School, Katariya school among others.
