13 deaths, 152 new COVID patients in Pune city today
Pune, May 20, 2020: Till 7.30 pm today, there were 152 new Coronavirus positive reported in Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) area today taking the total tally to 3899. Today 13 patients died while 113 were discharged from hospitals after they fully recovered. Also, a 69-year-old man from Shirur taluka in Pune rural died while undergoing treatment at a private hospital here.
According to PMC, out of 3899 patients, 2023 have been cured while 220 have died. There are still 1656 active patients undergoing treatment in different hospitals. There are 165 critical patients including 43 with ventilator support. Today swab samples of 1507 persons were collected for COVID test. Till now samples of 35302 people have been tested.
Among the 13 deaths, there were two women and 11 men, all between the age groups of 37 to 80 years. They were residents of Mahatma Phule Vasahat (Parvati), Kalyaninagar, Shivajimarket in Camp, Mangalwar Peth, Yerwada, Bhimpura in Camp, Janta Vasahat in Parvati, Kharadi, Gultekdi, Vikasnagar in Parvati, Postman colony in Kothrud, Tadiwala road.
