1440 new COVID patients in Pune city, 1196 discharged today

Pune, Aug 6, 2020: In the last 24 hours, a total of 1196 people were discharged from hospitals after being cured of COVID19 in Pune city today. Also, 1440 new patients were detected while 27 people died today. Today swab samples of 5208 people were collected for COVID tests.

 

According to Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), the total number of Coronavirus positive patients till date has reached 62,037 out of which 43,606 have been cured while 1456 have died. There are still 16,975 active patients undergoing treatment in various hospitals. They include 674 critical patients out of which 425 are on ventilator support.

 

According to PCMC, the total number of Coronavirus positive patients has reached 26118 out of which 17673 have been cured while 444 have died. 4175 active patients are still undergoing treatment. There are 342 non-PCMC residents currently admitted in PCMC hospitals, while 101 have died and 1104 have been cured.

 

Across Maharashtra, 3,16,375 patients have been cured while the Case fatality rate in the state is 3.50%. As of today, there are 1,46,305 active cases in the state. The recovery rate in the state is 65.94% while the fatality rate in the state is 3.50%. Currently, 9,76,332 people are in home quarantine and 37,768 people are in institutional quarantine. Out of 24,87,990 laboratory samples, 4,79,779 have been tested positive (19.28%) for COVID-19 until today.

 

According to the Union Health Ministry, the number of Coronavirus positive patients has reached 1,964,536 across the country. Out of this, 1,328,336 have been cured and discharged from hospitals while 40,699 people have died and one patient has migrated out of the country. There are still 595,501 active patients undergoing treatment in hospitals across the country.
