1812 new COVID patients detected in Pune city, 17 deaths

Pune, July 16, 2020: In the last 24 hours, a total of 764 people were discharged from hospitals after being cured of COVID19 in Pune city today. Also, 1812 new patients were detected while 17 patients died (see below). Today swab samples of 6582 people were collected for COVID tests.

 

According to Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), the total number of Coronavirus positive patients till date has reached 31,884 out of which 20,334 have been cured while 906 have died. There are still 10644 active patients undergoing treatment in various hospitals. They include 536 critical patients out of which 80 are on ventilator support.

 

According to PCMC, the total number of Coronavirus positive patients has reached 9104 out of which 5559 have been cured while 156 have died. 2337 active patients are still undergoing treatment. There are 276 non-PCMC residents currently admitted in PCMC. Till now 49 non-PCMC residents have died while 437 have been cured.

 

In Maharashtra, a total of 5527 patients were discharged while 8641 new Covid-19 cases were reported today. Also, 266 deaths reported in the state today. The current count of COVID19 patients in the state of Maharashtra is 2,84,281 informed State Health Minister Rajesh Tope.

 

According to the state health department, 1,58,140 patients have been cured. As of today, there are 1,14,648 active cases in the state. The recovery rate in the state is 55.63% while the fatality rate in the state is 3.94%.

 

According to the Union Health Ministry, the number of Coronavirus positive patients has reached 968,876 across the country. Out of this, 612,814 have been cured and discharged from hospitals while 24,915 people have died and one patient has migrated out of the country. There are still 331,146 active patients undergoing treatment in hospitals across the country.
