212 fresh COVID patients detected in Pune city today, 255 discharged

Pune, June 22, 2020: In the last 24 hours, a total of 255 people were discharged from hospitals after being cured of COVID19 in Pune city today. Also, 212 new patients were detected while 8 patients died. Today swab samples of 3227 people were collected for COVID tests.

 

According to Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), the total number of Coronavirus positive patients till date has reached 12686 out of which 7672 have been cured while 518 have died. There are still 4496 active patients undergoing treatment in various hospitals. They include 280 critical patients out of which 55 are on ventilator support. Till now 90406 people have been tested in Pune city.

 

Among the 8 deaths, five were men and three women, all between the age group of 30 to 84 years. They were from Vishranwadi, Dattawadi, Katraj (2), Kondhwa, Kothrud, Shivaji Nagar, and Wakdewadi.

 

Across Maharashtra, there were 3721 new COVID19 cases today taking the total number of cases to 135,796 . Also, 62 people died while 1962 got discharge from hospitals after being cured. There are still 61,793 active cases.

 

According to the Union Health Ministry, the number of Coronavirus positive patients has reached 4,25,282 across the country. Out of this, 237,195 have been cured and discharged from hospitals while 13,699 people have died and one patient has migrated out of the country. There are still 174,387 active patients undergoing treatment in hospitals across the country.
