294 New COVID patients detected in Pune city today, 229 discharged

Pune, June 3, 2020: In the last 24 hours, a total of 229 people were discharged from hospitals after being cured of COVID19 in Pune city today. Also, 294 new patients were detected while 8 patients died.

 

According to Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), the total number of Coronavirus positive patients till date has reached 7089 out of which 4348 have been cured while 352 have died. There are still 2389 active patients undergoing treatment in various hospitals. They include 165 critical patients out of which 43 are on ventilator support. Today swab samples of 1249 people were collected for COVID tests. Till now 53,709 people have been tested in Pune city.

Among the 8 deaths, 6 were women and 2 man, all of them were aged between 15 to 80 years. They were residents of Mangalwar peth, Laxmi nagar Parvati , Ganjpeth ,Yerwada, Khadki, Kalyani nagar Pune , Thankur Complex Kandiwali east, Tal- ashti Beed.

Across Maharashtra, there were 2560  new COVID19 cases taking the total number of cases to 74,860, Also, 122 people died while 996  got discharge from hospitals after being cured. There are still 39,935, active cases. The total death toll stands at 2587, while 32,329 patients have been discharged till date, according to Maharashtra Health Department.

According to the Union Health Ministry, the number of Coronavirus positive patients has reached 207,615 across the country. Out of this, 100,302 have been cured and discharged from hospitals while 5815 people have died and one patient has migrated out of the country. There are still 101,497 active patients undergoing treatment in hospitals across the country.
