3 Chennai school kids drowned in dam near Mulshi

Pune – In an unfortunate incident, three children of Chennai school who had come for summer camp in Mulshi taluka, drowned on Wednesday.
Body of one of them has recovered while search for remaining two will commence the morning.

As per information given by Paud police station under Pune rural police, the incident took place at Katarkhadak village dam, about km from Pune. A group of 20 boys (age group 13 to 15 years) ECS Matriculation school Chennai had come for summer camp (1 week) at Jackuline school of Thought. Four teachers including one male teacher accompanied them. Wednesday was their first day. After the camp activities,
3 boys went to dam water and drowned there.

The kids have been identified as Danish Raja (13), Santosh K (13) and Sarvanna (13). Body of Danish has been fished out and sent for post mortem.

A police officer said, “Search team was called but they told that search operation will be done in the early morning.Tahsildar Mulshi was also informed and they are doing thei level best for help. Parents of concerned students has been informed. Our Police staff 2 Police Patils and gramsurksha Dal Javan’s are there for Bandobast in the night time and early morning search operation will be started. At present Villagers and Police are handling the situation and Situation is normal.”
