Pune, September 12: Embracing the Eco-friendly concept, this year the Punekars have not only installed Eco-friendly idols of Ganesh and decoration, but they have also accepted whole-heatedly the Eco-friendly immersion ways. Motivating the devotees to use artificial water tanks, Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has installed 40 specially designed booths for immersion at 4 places namely Amruteshwar ghat, S M Joshi bridge ghat, Bhide bridge ghat and Aundh ghat.

A brainchild of Setu Advertising, these uniquely designed immersion booths have been supported by the developers like Mont Vert, New Front and Ravetkar. The concept has also been appreciated by Kunal Kumar, Commissioner PMC.

During the immersion process on the fifth day of Ganeshotsav, these booths were operational for all the devotees. Successful in serving the purpose of saving the idol from getting drenched in the unpredictable rain, these booths also provide a suitable place for performing the final round of Pooja and Aarti of the deity during the immersion.
