40,986 Candidates Qualified For Assistant Professor, 6171 To Get Junior Research Fellowship

Pune, December 3, 2020: The result of UGC NET June 2020 conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) has been released. This exam was done for the eligibility of Assistant Professor and Junior Research Fellowship (JRF). One lakh 40 thousand candidates took the exam for Assistant Professor. Of this, 4,848 qualified.

At the same time, 3.86 lakh students took the exam for JRF and Assistant Professor. Of these, 36,138 qualified for Assistant Professor and 6,171 were found eligible for Junior Research Fellowship. Altogether 5.26 lakh students took this test. In this, 40,986 students became eligible for Assistant Professor and 6,171 became eligible for JRF.

UGC NET June 2020 took place between 24 September to 13 November. The exam was conducted at 1,119 exam centres in 225 cities. 1700 jammers were planted. The exam was conducted under the supervision of 19 Regional Coordinators, 214 City Coordinators and 525 Observers.

The exam was proposed to be conducted in June, but in view of COVID-19, this exam also had to be postponed. The examinations finally took place between 24 September and 13 November.
