4348 New COVID Cases Reported In Pune District, 865 Discharged Today

Pune, 8th December 2022: A total of 4348 new Coronavirus disease (COVID19) patients were reported in the Pune district today while 865 people were discharged from hospitals. 02 person succumbed to the deadly virus in the last 24 hours.

Today, A total of 89,096 COVID vaccine doses were administered in the Pune district today taking the total vaccination doses to date to 1,56,56,631. About 90,35,032 people have got the first dose while 66,21,599 people have got two doses.

According to District Health Officer (DHO) Dr Bhagwan Pawar, there are 18,857 active patients in the district and 1326 of them are admitted to hospitals while 17,531 are in home isolation. Out of 4348 new cases, 2471 were reported in Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), 1073 in Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC), 151 in municipal councils (Nagar Parishad), 75 in cantonments, and 578 in rural areas.

Two death were reported in PMC areas. Out of 865 discharged patients, 711 were in PMC, 43 were in PCMC, 11 were in municipal councils, 28 were in cantonments, and 72 were in rural areas.
