43rd  INTER SERVICES GYMNASTIC CHAMPIONSHIP AT AIPT, PUNE

The Army Institute of Physical Training (AIPT) is hosting the 43rd Inter Services Gymnastics Championship from 06 to 08 December 2016            at  Pune.

The top  teams  from  Army, Navy and  Air Force  would  be  participating  in this  competition  where  the top  male gymnasts  of the  country  will  be  seen  in action.

Gymnastics  recently  has  generated  lot of  interest after  the  impressive  performance of Indian gymnast  Deepa  Karmakar  at the Rio Olympics. The  gymnasts  participating  in the Inter Service Championship have  been  winning  medals   in the  National  Championships and  National  Games. Some of them are members of the Indian Gymnastics Team and have international exposure.

The  event is  expected  to be  keenly  contested  where  the Navy and Air Force teams  are expected  to put-up a stiff competition  to the Army team. The finals of the event are scheduled on 08 Dec 2016.
