Cotton King is now 100 outlets big
Pune, February 1st: Cotton King the leading chain of cotton apparels for men has scored a century of its retail outlets. The 100th retail outlet of Cotton King was launched in Goa recently. With this, it has become the first chain in India in its segment to have 100 retail outlets. Started in Pune in the year 1996, this exclusive chain of cotton garments for men has steadily grown over the last 2 decades.
This was announced by Pradeep Marathe, Founder Director of Cotton King during a Press Conference held in the city today. Shubhada Marathe, Co-founder along with Koushik and Kunal Marathe Directors of Cotton King were present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion Pradeep Marathe said, “We are indeed very happy to achieve this landmark. It is really heartening to see that our effort of providing best in class garments made from the use of 100% cotton at optimum price is being greatly appreciated by customers. Very soon Cotton King will introduce a special celebration offer for its customers to commemorate the occasion.”
Commenting on future plans he said that the company wishes to double the count of its outlets and thus wishes to take it to 200 in the next 2-3 years. Currently Cotton King Showrooms are operational in Maharashtra (Including Mumbai), Karnataka and Goa, further expansion of retail chain is planned with foray in states like Andhra Pradesh, Telengana and Madhya Pradesh.
To cater to this expansion of retail chain, capacity expansion of its production base is also on the cards. Cotton King has a state of art manufacturing unit at High Tech Textile Park in Baramati. Started in the year 2008, it is the only plant of any private garment manufacturer for men that have all production process under one roof. Built across 3 acres of land with an investment of about Rs.25 Cr, the plant has a dedicated workforce of 750 of which about 600 are ladies. The plant currently has an installed capacity of producing about 6000 garments per day.
The company has identified 6 acres of land near its exiting unit in Baramati and is planning to invest another 25 Cr to expand its production base.
Cotton King is one of the most visible brands in the market. It offers largest variety of 100% cotton garments for men that are moderately priced between Rs.795 and Rs.1395. Brainchild of Pradeep Marathe who started this venture out of passion for good quality cotton garments at the age of 40 is often regarded as a success story of entrepreneurship with a difference.
