5 Successful start-ups founded by ISB Graduates

Amongst them, I have curated a list of alumni who have gone further ahead and leaped into entrepreneurship, they didn’t only create a value for themselves but managed to create job opportunities and a market for new products and services. 1. FlexiLoans.com
This is an interesting journey of four friends met at ISB Hyderabad campus – Manish Lunia, Deepak Jain, Ritesh Jain and Abhishek Kothari. Their friendship and shared dreams culminated into formation of FlexiLoans.com and they addressed an important issue of underserved MSME lending, especially in the unorganised sectors. Just over three years in business, FlexiLoans.com has empowered 15,000+ MSME business loans with over Rs.450+ Crores disbursements across 900+ cities without having a single branch within a span of 3 years with a team size of 230+ employees. Having over 100 partnerships with known e-commerce players like Flipkart, Amazon, PayTM Mall, Mswipe, FlexiLoans.com has an access to over 2mn businesses and provides alternate data led loans within 48 hours
2. ArthaYantra Solutions Pvt ltd
Nitin Vyakaranam, An ISB Graduate founded ArthaYantra in 2007, the financial services offers integrated personal financial services to individuals. ArthaYantra is working to deliver an integrated online financial services solution that would help a customer manage budget, plan finances, build risk adjusted portfolios, and plan taxes. It has launched its first product TaxYantra, which already has a large customer base including some of the most reputed corporate houses.
3. Nearbuy.com
Nearbuy is a popular mobile application that offers deals and coupons for online shopping, restaurants, spa and saloons. An app that thrives on geo location tagging, is very popular in the metro cities is co-founded by ISB Almuni Ankur Warikoo, CEO. This venture is also co-founded by Ankur Sarawagi, Sachin Kapur, Ravi Shankar, Snehesh Mitra and Sumeet Kapur. Nearbuy generates $25.5K in revenue per employee Nearbuy has received a total of $22.2M in funding. Nearbuy’s top competitor is CouponDunia, led by Sameer Parwani, who is their Co-Founder & CEO.
4. Shuttl
Shuttl, a mobile application that allows commuters to discover and book AC bus-rides is co-founded by Deepanshu Malviya, Shuttl is headquartered in Gurgaon, Haryana. Shuttl has raised a total of $49.3M in funding as of May 2019.
5. BeatO
Founded by Gautam Chopra, an ISB Graduate BeatO is a web and mobile-based application that helps patients to monitor and manage their diabetes level. This healthcare startup, BeatO has a revenue of $5M, and 32 employees. BeatO has received funding from investors such as Orios Venture Partners, Blume Ventures, and Leo Capital. BeatO’s main competitors are Dario, Livongo Health and Healthcals.
