501 fresh COVID patients detected in Pune city today, 17 deaths

Pune, June 24, 2020: In the last 24 hours, a total of 155 people were discharged from hospitals after being cured of COVID19 in Pune city today. Also, 501 new patients were detected while 17 patients died. Today swab samples of 3416 people were collected for COVID tests.

 

According to Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), the total number of Coronavirus positive patients till date has reached 13,654 out of which 8100 have been cured while 545 have died. There are still 5009 active patients undergoing treatment in various hospitals. They include 277 critical patients out of which 56 are on ventilator support. Till now 97,224 people have been tested in Pune city.

 

Among the 17 deaths, thirteen were men and four women, all between the age group of 29 to 80 years. They were from Dhankawadi, Lohiya Nagar Ganj Peth, Dharma Nagri Society, Yerwada (2), Nana Peth,  Rashta Peth,  Sadashiv Peth , Sinhgad Road, Hadapsar (3), Tadiwala Road,  Kothrud (2),  Kondhwa (2), and Dhankawdi .

 

Across Maharashtra, there were 3890 new COVID19 cases today taking the total number of cases to 1,42,900. Also, 208 people died while 4161 got discharge from hospitals after being cured. There are still 62,354 active cases. Till now 73,792 COVID-19 patients have been cured. The recovery rate in the state is 51.64%.

 

According to the Union Health Ministry, the number of Coronavirus positive patients has reached 456182 across the country. Out of this, 258684 have been cured and discharged from hospitals while 14476 people have died and one patient has migrated out of the country. There are still 183022 active patients undergoing treatment in hospitals across the country.
