528 entries for PDCC District Under7,9,11,13, 17 Selection Chess Tournament
Pune, January 13, 2024: A total 528 entries for PDCC District Under 7,9,11,13, 17 Selection Chess tournament which is being organized by Pune District Chess Circle will be conducted at Ashwamedh Hall and Shree Ganesh Sabhagruha, Karve Road from 14th to 15th January 2024.
Mr. Prakash Kunte, VP of PDCC said that, The event is sponsored by Amanora and Truspace. The total prize money is Rs.40,000/- for this event. The event will be played under Swiss league format in 7/8थ round with the Latest FIDE rules applicable.
Prominent players who have confirmed there entries for the event include rated players Anushka Kutwal(1495), Viresh Sharnarthi(1812), Nihira Koul(1406), Aryan Karmalkar(1512), Aditya Joshi(1564), Ira Bohora(1041).
The event will be held in 5 categories which included Boys and girls Under 7,9,11,13, 17 age group.IA Vinita Shrotri is chief arbiter of this tournament. The tournament will be inaugurated by Mr.Ashwin Trimal, VP of PDCC and Major Dhyanchand Award Winner GM Abhijit Kunte on 14th January 2024 at 9.15am.
