53 cured, 107 new COVID cases in Pune city today, tally reaches 1718
Pune, May 2, 2020: Four deaths and 107 new Coronavirus positive cases were reported in Pune city under the PMC, taking the total tally of positive COVID19 cases to 1718. Also, 53 patients were discharged after being cured. In PMC areas, out of 1718, a total of 378 persons have been cured while 94 have died till now.
According to PMC, there are still 1246 active patients who are undergoing treatment in various hospitals. The condition of 67 patients infected with corona and being treated in hospitals is critical. The throat fluid samples of about 10,302 people in the city have been examined; Of them, reports of 8,650 people have been negative. Four people who were treated at various hospitals have died. They are in age groups 40 to 60.
In Pimpri Chinchwad (PCMC) areas, two new patients were reported today taking the total tally to 115. Till now 52 patients have been cured and discharged, while five patients have died including two from Pune. The total positive COVID19 cases in Pune district has reached 1912 including 103 deaths and 413 have been discharged.
A total of 790 new COVID19 positive cases and 36 deaths have been reported in Maharashtra today, taking the total number of cases to 12296 and death toll to 521. 121 patients discharged today, while a total of 2000 patients have been discharged till date.
Out of the 36 deaths today, 28 were men and 8 women. 19 of them aged over 60 years, 16 were from the age group 40 to 59 years and 1 was aged less than 40 years. Information regarding comorbidities of 3 patients who died is not available yet. 23 out of the rest 33 patients (70%) had high-risk co-morbidities such as diabetes, hypertension, heart disease, etc. Death toll in Covid-19 patients has now gone up to 521 in the state.
Meanwhile, the total number of COVID19 positive cases in India has increased to 37,776 including 26,535 active cases, 10018 cured /migrated and 1223 deaths, according to the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
