Uttar Pradesh, 2nd May 2022: The government’s action against loudspeakers breaking the rules is going on in Uttar Pradesh. According to reports, about 54 thousand loudspeakers have been removed in the state within a week. During this action last week, these loudspeakers were found violating the decibel limit. At the same time, the police have also reduced the voice of many speakers.

According to media reports, last week around 54 thousand loudspeakers were removed from different religious places. At the same time, the voice of 60 thousand 295 has also been reduced during this period. ADG (Law and Order) Prashant Kumar says that the action against loudspeakers is likely to continue in the coming days.

Prashant Kumar says, “We have ensured that no one is harassed by the police during the operation.” He also said that loudspeakers will be removed from all religious places without any discrimination.

“As per the rules, loudspeakers, which have been installed without the permission of the district administration or have been installed over the sanctioned number, are being removed,” he further added.

Prashant Kumar said that only one loudspeaker will be installed at a religious place, be it a temple or a mosque. He said that if the religious place is big, then more than one speaker can be installed after the inspection of the senior officer. The ADG said that the order of the High Court is also being taken care of during the proceedings.
