7 killed, 3 injured in accident near Lonavala
Pune – Seven persons including four of a family were killed on the spot after a Swift car jumped divider and collided head-on with a Santro coming from opposite direction near Karla phata on Sunday afternoon on the old Mumbai-Pune Highway.
Police have identified the deceased persons (travelling in Swift) as Sanjeev Mohan Singh Kushwah (17), Krishna Ramesh Shirsat (22), and Nikhil Balaji Sarode (20), all residents of Rahatani. The deceased persons (travelling in Santro) as Rajeev Jagannath Bahirat (52), Sonali Rajeev Bahirat (46), Jahnvi Rajeev Bahirat (20), Jagannath Chandrasen Bahirat (83), all residents of Kalashankar Nagar, B T Kawde road, in Mundhwa.
The injured persons are Pratik Balaji Sarode (18), Akash Madne (17) and Rohit Kad (16), all residents of Pune. They are admitted in Sparsh hospital at Kanhe phata.
