756 New COVID Cases Reported In Pune District; 14,214 Vaccine Doses Administered

Pune, 22 August 2021: A total of 756 new Coronavirus disease (COVID19) patients were reported in the Pune district today while 925 people were discharged from hospitals. 10 people succumbed to the deadly virus in the last 24 hours. Today, a total of 14,214  doses of the COVID vaccine was administered to people in the district.

According to District Health Officer (DHO) Dr Bhagwan Pawar, there are 8161 active patients in the district and 4337 of them are admitted to hospitals while 3824 are in home isolation. Out of 756 new cases, 197 were reported in Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), 119 in Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC), 47 in municipal councils (Nagar Parishad), 08 in cantonments, and 385 in rural areas.

 

Among the 10 deaths, six were in PMC, one was in PCMC, one was in municipal councils (Nagar Parishad) and two were in rural areas. Out of 925 discharged patients, 222 were in PMC, 123 were in PCMC, 93 were in municipal councils, 04 were in cantonments, and 483 were in rural areas.
