965 New COVID Cases Reported In Pune District; 18,788 Vaccine Doses Administered
Pune, 29 August 2021: A total of 965 new Coronavirus disease (COVID19) patients were reported in the Pune district today while 976 people were discharged from hospitals. 10 people succumbed to the deadly virus in the last 24 hours. Today, a total of 18,788 doses of the COVID vaccine was administered to people in the district.
According to District Health Officer (DHO) Dr Bhagwan Pawar, there are 9407 active patients in the district and 4614 of them are admitted to hospitals while 4793 are in home isolation. Out of 965 new cases, 247 were reported in Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), 140 in Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC), 84 in municipal councils (Nagar Parishad), 04 in cantonments, and 490 in rural areas.
Among the 10 deaths, five were in PMC, one was in PCMC, and four were in rural areas. Out of 976 discharged patients, 249 were in PMC, 168 were in PCMC, 59 were in municipal councils, 08 were in cantonments, and 492 were in rural areas.
