Over 340 Motorists Penalised For Drunk Driving At Tourist Places In Pune Rural In Three Days
Pune 17th July 2023: The Pune Rural Police have intensified action against motorists for drunk driving at the tourists places in its jurisdiction. The police have penalised a total of 340 motorists in the rural areas between July 14 and July 17.
The rural police have been instructed to take strict action against tourists found creating chaos under the influence of alcohol. A large number of tourists flocked tourist places in Pune rural to enjoy the rainy season.
According to officials, a total of 1,950 vehicles including 1,092 two wheelers and 858 four wheelers were registered at the check post in Nahargaon. Similarly, a huge crowd of tourists was reported in Lonavala that resulted in heavy traffic jam on Saturday and Sunday.
