Pune Resident Arrested For Threatening Bomb Attack On Dadar Railway Station

Pune, 18th July 2023: The Loni Kalbhor police have taken action by registering a case against a young man who made a bomb threat targeting Mumbai’s Dadar railway station. The Mumbai Railway Police conducted a thorough investigation after receiving the alarming call, but no explosive device was found on the premises.

The suspect, identified as Yogesh Shivaji Dhere (35), residing in Janwadi, near Vitthal Mandir, Gokhalenagar, was apprehended following a complaint filed by Police Constable Prashant Sutar at the Loni Kalbhor police station. Dhere had contacted the Pune Police control room using his mobile phone and issued the threat against Dadar railway station in Mumbai. The Pune Police promptly alerted the Mumbai Railway Police, leading to an inspection of Dadar railway station by the Lohmarg police. However, no suspicious item resembling a bomb was discovered during the search.

Following the incident, the police control room initiated an investigation into the originating mobile number. Through technical means, it was determined that Yogesh Dhere was the owner of the mobile number in question. A case has been registered against Dhere. Assistant Police Inspector Khairnar is currently handling the investigation.
