12th December 2023: Mahindra is gearing up for the launch of its upcoming vehicles in the Indian market next year. Rigorous testing is underway for all the vehicles slated for release. Recently, a spy image of the Mahindra XUV300 surfaced, showcasing notable changes as it competes with Tata Nexon facelift and Hyundai Venue in the Indian market.

The leaked images suggest significant updates to the XUV300 facelift, including a redesigned front grille, bumper, and air dam. The front end is expected to feature newly designed LED headlights, connected LED DRL, and circular-shaped LED fog lights, presenting a more sporty and aggressive appearance compared to the current model.

While the rear is set to receive a revised bumper and updated LED tail lights, the dimensions are anticipated to remain unchanged. Inside, the cabin undergoes substantial changes with a revamped central console hosting a large touch screen infotainment system, a newly designed central console, and an updated steering wheel. The possibility of premium leather seats further enhances the interior.

The 2024 XUV300 facelift is poised to feature a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system, responding to the industry trend seen in competitors. Additional features include a new digital instrument cluster, electronic sunroof, ambient lighting, ventilated seats, height-adjustable driver seat, dual-zone climate control, and charging options for passengers.

Although specific safety details are undisclosed, expectations include a 360-degree camera, six airbags, electronic stability control, tire pressure monitoring system, hill haul assist, hill descent control, and reverse parking sensors. Mahindra aims to stay competitive by potentially introducing Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) technology.

Engine options under the hood remain consistent, featuring the current 1.2-liter turbo petrol engine and a 1.5-liter diesel engine, both coupled with six-speed manual and AMT gearboxes. The new generation XUV300 facelift is scheduled for a 2024 launch, contributing to Mahindra’s lineup, which includes the Thar 5 Door set to launch in the same year. The XUV300 competes with various models, such as Tata Nexon facelift 2023, Hyundai Venue, Renault Kiger, Maruti Fronx, Nissan Magnite, Kia Sonet, and Maruti Suzuki Brezza.
