Nagpur-Mumbai Duronto Express derails update on 31 Aug 2017

Hundred’s of employees are working non-stop at the derailment site for more than 2 days. Inspite of inhospitable conditions the restoration team, Undeterred by heavy rains accompanied by landslides restored one line for Rail traffic movement yesterday night. 
However, the second line for safety reasons, will not be operative for some more time. The mud which has gushed onto and beneath the Railway track in last couple of days heavy rains has made conditions such, that the second line will take some more time to be operational. 
Thus, we are running normal suburban services till Titwala and then shuttle services between Asangaon and Kasara. 
To help commuters overcome this hardship, we have requested state govt to ply more bus services between Titwala and Asangaon and this has been assured by state govt authorities. 
We will keep you updated of restoration work of second line between Vasind and Asangaon.
