Pune: Sharad Pawar Leads Roadshow for Rahul Kalate, First in Two Decades in Pimpri-Chinchwad
Chinchwad, 14th November 2024: Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) President and veteran leader Sharad Pawar conducted a three-hour roadshow yesterday in support of Mahavikas Aghadi’s candidate, Rahul Kalate, in the Chinchwad constituency for the upcoming Maharashtra Legislative Assembly elections.
The roadshow, starting from Sangvi and concluding at Walhekarwadi, drew an enthusiastic response from Chinchwad residents. This marked Sharad Pawar’s first road show in Chinchwad in nearly 20 years and sparked significant discussion, as the event took place in Ajit Pawar’s stronghold.
Starting from Sai Chowk in Navi Sangvi, the roadshow passed through key areas, including Sangvi, Pimple Gurav, Pimple Saudagar, Rahatani, Thergaon, Kalewadi, Dange Chowk, Chinchwad Gaon, and finally Walhekarwadi, where a public meeting concluded the event.
In a strong show of support for Rahul Kalate, NCP-SP Maharashtra State President Jayant Patil, Baramati MP Supriya Sule, Shirur MP Dr Amol Kolhe, and Karjat Jamkhed MLA Rohit Pawar have focused on Kalate’s campaign as well. Thousands of Mahavikas Aghadi activists, along with prominent leaders like Prithviraj Sathe, Navnath Jagtap, Machhindra Tapkir, Sampat Pawar, Imran Shaikh, Jyoti Nimbalkar, Arun Pawar, and Ulhas Kokane, also participated in support of NCP-SP’s candidate from Chinchwad, Rahul Kalate.
