Kothrud, 24th November 2024: Punjabi singer and actor Diljit Dosanjh’s music concert, scheduled to be held at Kakade Farm in Kothrud, Pune, has stirred controversy. While the event is expected to draw over 50,000 attendees, local BJP leader and MLA Chandrakant Patil has strongly opposed it, citing public inconvenience and social concerns.

In a statement, Patil criticized the event, saying, “I oppose Diljit Dosanjh’s music concert at Kakade Farm as both a local MLA and a concerned citizen. The sale of liquor, traffic congestion, and loud noise caused by such programs are unacceptable. I have directed the Police Commissioner, Excise Department, and District Collector to cancel the event.”

Patil further warned of potential protests. “Such events are a nuisance to society. If this program goes ahead, the Bharatiya Janata Party will organize a large march, and I will personally lead it,” he declared.

Local opposition to the concert had already surfaced before Patil’s statement, with residents expressing concerns about the disruption it might cause in the area.
